Number of years competing...
First year (2009) Cyclocross
(Shattered at the prospect of possibly not achieving a podium in my first year of racing (ha-ha), I decided to also compete for the series “Full Attendance” award and won my medal!)
Favourite race...
My most favourite race for sure was the OBC Madison with my son Trevor as my relay partner.
Race Finishes (any sport):
First - In line at Bridgehead for a café latté after a training ride
Last - To accept defeat!!
One thing you have to do before a race...
Well before a cyclocross race I learnt …..I need to make sure the bolts are tight on my front wheel and my brake cables are attached ;)
Biggest challenge you have overcome...
In May of 2008 my sons built me my first road bike for my birthday. My first challenge was to learn how to drink water while actually pedaling.
By the end of August inspired by my sons that were racing in Italy , I actually completed and conquered an entire Stage of the Giro d'Italia, the MOUNTAIN STAGE!!
Something people may not know about you... My views on life ? …..well actually it's probably written all over my fac e.
Today is yours for the taking!
Live it to the fullest with reckless abandon
Fear Nothing… try Everything… be Excited…Dance
Seize the day… and do it Again Tomorrow!! |
